In Argentina, it’s highly probable that you’ll hear the word ‘posta’ as a synonym for ‘truth’, but there’s an even more inventive way of telling the truth: la verdad de la milanesa.
Milanesas are considered by many a typical staple Argentinian meal, but schnitzels are essentially the same. My theory is that even when no one will ever be able to explain why this phrase, my theory is that we cut out the last part: “La verdad de la milanesa es el schnitzel.”
Anyways, see language used at three different levels:
- La verdad es que aprender un idioma no es tan fácil como parece.
- La posta es que aprender un idioma es mucho más difícil de lo que parece.
- La verdad de la milanesa es que aprender un idioma es un bardo.
