Reacting to what someone says can be difficult in a foreign language, especially when you want to have some variety. Here are some of the most useful phrases you can use to show you’re engaged in the conversation:

  • tal cual | used when you think exactly like the person.
  • bien ahí | use it when you want to congratulate someone on achieving something.
  • ahí va | to show that you understand.
  • de una | to say you agree.
  • a full | to express that you really like the idea.
  • dale | the most common alternative to ok.
  • bárbaro | an alternative dale.

Good luck in finding a spot for them in your conversations,

Until soon!
